While CPBTI is highly effective, approximately 35-40% of patients in this study did not meet the MCID for mental health improvement despite physical symptom relief. This suggests that in a subset of the RCPD population, anxiety and depression may be primary conditions or have become independent of the physical dysfunction. Therefore, CPBTI should be viewed as a vital component of a broader treatment plan that may still require traditional psychiatric support.
